The National Lottery works along side with the UK Film Council.The UK Film Council uses National Lottery money to develop new filmmakers, fund exciting British films.
For every £1 Lottery ticket bought 28p goes to the lottery good causes. Sport, arts and film, and heritage each receive 16.6 per cent of the good cause money raised.
One of the well known UK films funded by the national lottery is 'Adulthood'.
